You bite your tongue, knowing that anything you are tempted to say in this moment will not be anything particularly nice or good. Instead, you take a deep breath before flashing your best friend the most dangerous of smiles. 

“For the last time, Han, I do not have your stupid sweater!” Your voice comes out as a harsh whisper and you throw a nervous glance over your shoulder, worried that one of your group members might catch the two of you together. Slightly paranoid, you usher him further out into the hall before shutting the door behind you quietly.

The matter was, your group never particularly liked Hansol coming around. At all. It was partly due to the risk he posed as a potential scandal if the public ever caught on to your friendship– a risk too big for an emerging idol group like yours. And it was also partly due to the dubbed “fan incident” that landed your main dancer in the hospital for a couple of days due to your best friend’s sheer stupidity. Hansol wasn’t allowed to hang out at the dorm after that. 

Needless to say, when he knocked on your door at 1AM demanding an audience, you were incredibly grateful that you were the only one awake at the time. 

“But Y/N! Seungkwan says he doesn’t have it!”

“And you just believed him?”

“Of course! He’s my best friend.”

“Then what the heck am I?”

“A thief!” You groan, rolling your eyes. Before you’re able to respond, he rambles on. “In fact, my clothing is not the only thing you’re stealing. You’re out for the attention of my group members too, you sly f--”

Whilst normally Hansol would have been ready to leave when you re-enter your dormitory and slam the door close, he knows you better than that. He waits until you open up the door once again, and he’s smug for just a moment before he notices that you didn’t return alone. Yoona hovers behind you, and Hansol briefly contemplates running away before realizing that your group leader was much much faster than him. Instead, he gulps.

“So I hear you’ve been making fun of my teaser pics once again. . . I wonder Hansol, have you ever experienced a real wedgie?”

Hansol returns to the dorm with no sweater and an awkward gait, only to find Seungkwan using his real sweater as a makeshift blanket.

“–you mean rooster.”

“– Yes, tell me again why there’s a rooster emoji next to my contact name.”

“Well, you know how roosters sing in the morning to wake everyone up? I think a rooster represents you and your beautiful voice; your voice is the only thing I need to wake up.”

“Excuse me?”

You stare blankly at Seungkwan and Jeonghan before you, slightly intimidating as their eyes bore into you. “Your favourite season, what is it?” They speak in sync, scowling at each other before turning back to you. 

“Winter, I suppose?” Your voice is unsure and they stare at you as if you just insulted their mothers. 

“That’s not what either of us put down,” Seungkwan mutters, staring down at his phone. You take a glance at the screen and catch sight of a list. Snatching it out of his hand, you scroll through it quickly, shocked to find a list of your supposed favourite things and random facts about you. Supposed. Almost none of them are correct, some of them so far from the truth that they became humorous. 

“Is this what you’ve been doing on those dates of yours?” You muse, scrunching your nose up at a particularly ridiculous comment on your favourite shampoo.

Seungkwan sighs, massaging his temple as he looks at the lump in the covers of his bed that was Hansol. “Don’t you have your own bed?” Seungkwan mutters, prodding the lump with his foot. Not that I mind, he thinks, plopping down beside the bump and patting it in what he hoped to be a comforting manner. He doesn’t even notice how tired he is until he collapses on top of the boy, dozing off in a matter of seconds.
