“Books so special and rare and your that advertising your affection feels like a betrayal.” 🍁 #QOTD❓Do you read the book before watching the movie, or vice versa? Why? 🍁 I always read books before watching the movie, because reading is an altogether another experience…it takes you to a world of your own imagination and fantasies, where you can build up the characters in your own way..perceive things the way you like…in other words it maybe compared to directing you own movie based on the book you are reading. 🍁 Also, books have a lot of details which movies cannot provide…mostly parts of the book are ignored while creating the movie. The emotional connect which comes with reading is seldom achieved with watching the same thing. 🍁 Books allow you to get inside a character's head much easier than a movie can. In a movie you have to rely on the script and the actor to cue you on how their feeling rather than a inner monologue describing events and its impact on a character. Neither mode of storytelling is inherently better but they are distinct even when the events are the same. 🍁 I have a habit of googling about any movie I just watched or about to watch..so after watching any movie when i come to know it is based on a novel( which i haven’t read of course) … i have tried reading that book..and that goes in vain…because then all interest is lost. But the opposite happens when I read the book first. I get the curiosity to see if the movie is according to “my’’ imagination. 🤓 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁 What about you guys ?
