The Girl on the Train
Seeing as it has been a while since I’ve been able to post anything, I am hoping to get the blog up and running again and start posting more reviews at least once a week.Â
For this week’s review, we have “The Girl on the Train”. I read this novel about a year ago was impressed with the plot line and how well it was written. The author changed point of view each chapter and that helped the reader understand what was happening but not enough so you were still kept wanting to know more.
The plot of the story is a woman who is a severe alcoholic passes by her old neighborhood every morning on her way to work and always sees what seems to be the “perfect couple” a few houses down from her former home. Little does the woman know how broken it is inside and while passing by one day, sees something tragic happen, but doesn’t really know how to report it.Â
I enjoyed reading this novel very much and am very excited to see the film version that has come out earlier this year. It was dark and mysterious and kept you wanting more from it. I haven’t looked into the author very much, so I am most likely going to see if anymore has come out from her and check those out too.Â
