I am utterly exhausted from the A to Z Challenge. If I didn’t have a two-day breakdown in the middle of the month, I’d have made it to my 300 blogs visited goal. So close!
I’ll be heading off to the woods later this month for much-needed Rest and Relaxation.
There’s a Giveaway link at the end, so you have that as my thanks as you scroll.
One of my bookish resolutions this year was to take part in more readathons. Off to a cracking start, only one day left in #newyearsathon and I am not even half way through my first book 😂 #bookishresolutions #readathons #acourtofmistandfury #acomaf #acotar #blackcat #tuxedocat #bookstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/BsTQRcQHgK7/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=7m3a0s2coqb5
What are your reading goals for 2019? 📖 I never set a numeric goal for myself, but I do want to continue working on last year's goal of accepting/requesting fewer review books, so I have more time to read whatever I feel like. It would also be great to make a good dent in the TBR books I already own. . . This is actually a page in my reading journal for this year. If you're curious, I did a "tour" of my journal the other day in my stories & you can now find it in my highlights. . . #FearYourNovelJanuary - 2019 Reading Goals . . #readinggoals #bookishresolutions #readingjournal #bookjournal #bookgram #mybookishlife #mybookishfeatures #bestbookishlife https://www.instagram.com/p/BsLe8eFnzBx/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=za7xj6ei6int
Hello, 2018! A new year; new #bookishresolutions. I’ve decided to read the books that I have on my shelves instead of buying new ones. It will be a difficult thing to do but it has to be done. ********************* How I Came to Know Fish by Ota Pavel is on my reading list for 2018. I want this to be the year wherein I read authors that I’ve never read before. ******************** #inothernews School re-opens tomorrow, so it’s back to work. Only wish the holidays would have lasted longer! ******************** #bookstagram #readingbooksthataaliyaread #aaliyainspired #myreadingproject #penguinmodernclassics #howicametoknowfish #otapavel #centraleuropeanclassics #lovetoread #bookishhygge #bookishallure #thesimplethingsoflife #whatcouldbebetter #booksandcoffee (at Mumbai, Maharastra)

#bookishgalsjan Day 2: My bookish resolutions are to: - read 52 books (I'll try my best) - read more non-fiction literature (because learning is fun) - write my novel (it would be fun) - keep a dream journal (I'm so bad at keeping diaries, so we'll see how this goes.) What are your resolutions for 2017? #bookishresolutions #bookstagram #bookstagramchallenge #books #literature #dreamjournal #journal #resolutions2017
As a part of the Bookish Resolutions challenge I’m attempting this year, you’re meant to post a progress report at end of every month. This was one of the things that stood out most to me about this challenge - that you have to keep coming back to your resolutions and see how you’re progressing (Even though I kept putting it off until now). Keeps you accountable I guess. So here, finally, is my progress report for January.
Reading Goals
Complete the Pop!Sugar Reading Challenge [x]
a book based on a fairytale
a book that’s under 100 pages
a book you can finish in a day
a book from the library
Review at least 20% of the books I read
So I haven’t reviewed any yet, but once I hit 5 books, I’ll need to go back and review one. That’s how I’m thinking I’ll get this one done - 1 review for every 5 read = 20%
Number of books purchased can’t outnumber the books read
FAIL for January. I read 3 books. I bought six. Will try to keep this in mind going forward.
Participate in at least TWO read-a-thons
Sort of fail. I joined Bout of Books but I didn’t choose a great book to start with so this kind of flopped. I decided not to count this.
Blogging Goals
Create a blog schedule
Started, but not finished.
Blog at least twice a week
I reblog a ton, but I’m still not blogging much. FAIL.
Update the pages on this blog
Not yet. Hopefully this month or next.
Update the blog design
Started, but not finished.
Personal Goals
Finish two manuscripts by the end of the year
Still cranking away on one.
Finish at least one critique for my group every week
FAIL. Hope to rectify this month.
Write 500 words a day everyday
Half-fail. I’ve been writing pretty regularly but the end of the month got pretty spotty after I watched star wars.
Fill a sketchbook
Still haven’t touched it.
Keep a Bullet Journal
Kept it going for the first half of the month. Finding it a bit of a pain, so I’m going to try it again but if I drop it again I’ll need to find an alternative.
Keep a Writing Calendar [x]
Yup. This is one of the few things I’ve been keeping up.
Complete the 52 week money challenge
Uh no. So instead I’ll be doing the 47 week challenge? It still works right?
Overall I think I’m doing okay. Just okay. Not great. I think there is room for improvement. Hopefully my February progress looks a lot more...productive.
