Yahooooo! Im so happy to finally share this book cover i designed back in July 2016 for a UK publisher Faber & Faber.
This wonderfully magical and mysterious YA Story is by American author Laura Ruby. Bone Gap has been out in the states for a while and been garnering alot of attention and awards, namely the the Michael L. Printz award.
It was a joy to design, and a real labor as i wanted it to be spot on and to really capture the magic of this book. I went through numerous designs with the art director at faber, and was initially struggling to get to the point that i was happy with. But finally fell onto this image, and its now one of my favouite projects to date. Anyway i thoroughly recommend the read and heres a little synopsis of ‘Bone gap’......

✨ Book Review ✨ I finally was able tackle this book from my TBR that I had in the longest. Ok so this book has magic realism and mysterious kidnapping. It was good and intriguing especially the characters. I even liked the narrator to the audiobook. Bone Gap. A place where the cornstalks whisper tales of murderers and horses prance down waterfalls. This book is full of magical realism but connects back to reality in a startling way. It’s one of my all time favorites, and as you read it, there are so many questions you need to have answered. I couldn’t put it down.
