@ vulture culture peeps: what small animal eats bones??

there’s a lil hole next to the bone box where something’s been digging the remains out, except that nothing is fresh enough to be considered legit food?

it’s literally just a bunch of bones and liquefied flesh/fur/feathers (chickens, don’t worry)

do turkey vultures dig at ground next to corpses?? i know they hate the bonebox but i mean that’s kind of... why would a bird come to the ground and painstakingly excavate ex-food rather than wait til something else keels over

i would suspect the dogs bc they’ve stolen a whole chicken carcass out of there but whatever it was didn’t bother with it until nothing was edible in there??

do cats dig at bones for no reason????

coyotes and foxes???? chickens???????????????

what even is going on and can they stop so i can have whole skeletons
