an adaption of a 2D cartoon into 3D CGI got rid of one of a character's kyphosis for "ease of movement"
This is formimisia. Erasing a characters disability for 'ease of movement' is a lazy and ableist choice.

My ribcage is "misshapen" , I can feel it and see it. My sternum is pressed in and I have a bit of lower back scoliosis, which all means that the bottom of my ribs twist around and create bumps above my stomach in a way that I haven't seen on other people.
I was told by my peers when I was young that I was so beautiful and would look great in a bikini because I was so skinny. (I was also unhealthily skinny but didn't know) But even after gaining weight and having a wonderful stomach and rolls my ribs still protrude.
This doesn't bother me, I love my body!!!
But I do want to know what's going on with my ribs in case it's related to other stuff I have, but nobody believes me right when I say bras never fit properly because of it and I've been able to put my fingers up under the "misshapen" ribs. They all act shocked and just dismissive.
I would love just to be x-rayed and have access to the images so I can see what my own body looks like! But they won't do an "unnecessary" X-ray but I want to know about my own body!!!
This is formimisia, you deserve answers about your own body and to not be fetishized by peers.
What exactly counts for this blog? I'm 4'10.5 (like... 0.5 above the limit to be considered having dwarfism) but wasn't sure if 'unusually short stature' counted for what you're going for here ^^;
This would be formimisia, a lot of formimisia can identify as figurmisia though.
Scoliosis runs in one side of my family, its not congenital but rather I was more likely to develop it. My mother was obsessed over my posture, I get that she was worried I would develop it myself but also her obsessing with the way I looked made me very insecure about it. I started developing it at a young age and for a long time I felt that no one could possibly be attracted to me because I 'looked weird'
This is formimisia, people with scoliosis are not unattractive and their bodies don't 'look weird'.
My knee caps regularly subluxate, which is obviously painful, but it is very much made worse by the fact people make faces at me, even people that know I have knee problems. I've had a doctor watch it happen and make a face at it. Like yeah, thanks, glad to know you find my body disturbing and disgusting 👍 thanks for letting me know, especially when I'm in pain and can't move. Really helpful.
This is formimisia. Disgust towards someone's body just because its different is terrible.

i don't know what this is, but having scoliosis and being trans, being told by my father to not disfigure myself more -_-
(aka get top surgery)
This is figurmisia, formimisia, and transphobia.
formimisia is being physically forced to sit up straight to fix the congenital scoliosis you have w no medical help or physical therapy or anything. i was a small child as well, so an adult forcing my body into a straighter position hurt even more than if it was done now i think
This is formimisia, abuse, and medical neglect.
when i tell my pe teacher im sorry i cant properly swim on my back or can't for too long times play badminton he says oh just do
and i don't get any point difference to others
(i got scoliosis, and my shoulder is twisted forwards a bit and also my back is just crooked, so i can't twist my arm properly for swimming on my back, and my badminton ball always go to the left because of that as well)
