Even if 80% of people don't find the rest of the game, if I can give an awesome experience to that other 20%, it's worth it to me.

My favorite way to get the community involved is to give them puzzles that are too hard for individuals to realistically solve on their own.

The ultimate mysterious game is the unplayed game.
Jim Crawford, developer of Frog Fractions, from his talk about preserving a sense of discovery in the age of spoilers.
Just had my first VR experience, playing Couch Knights on the Oculus Rift. It's a simple 1v1 3D fighter, where you control a pint-sized knight doing battle in a virtual living room. The twist is that through the VR headset, you view yourself as a human avatar sitting in said living room. You can jump your knight all over the room -- behind your opponent's human avatar, for example.
The game itself is fairly crude, but its a great example of the virtual living room "game within a game" possibilities that can be built with VR technology. Another example is the indie horror game Alone, where your human avatar plays a game within a virtual living room, and is then subjected to various creepy situations as the game-within-a-game starts extending beyond the in-game screen.
I can't wait to see more developers take advantage of this intriguing new gameplay model.
And we're out! Thanks for following along, hope everyone had fun.

Not many League of Legends players in the house tonight, but that’s probably because they’re all at home playing. The game, the first from tonight’s Pioneer Award winners — Riot Games co-founders Brandon Beck and Marc Merrill — boasts more than 27 million daily players.
I’m not sick of you guys yet, so I hope you’re not sick of me.
