Most of the wilds are good, they all rank the same, but we have a team full of older guys, all vets. We only have two guys that are fairly new to the league, and are very skilled.

Matt, well he’s my boyfriend, I don’t get a say in this. His words- not mine. “I’m just so tired.” Matt lets out. He takes a hold of me and scoops me from my side. “I love you.” Matt states. “Wow, new information!” I sarcastically let out.

I’m in Matt’s arms as he scoots onto his side. We’re on the side of the bed and we sit like this for a good minute. “Baby, I think you’re amazing.” I inform him- again he shakes his head.

“You’ll get there baby.” I let him know I’m always on his side, and it’s true. I’ll always be here for him. “No.” Matt rubs my lower stomach.

“You can’t be too hard on yourself. Be fair.” I turn to face him. I flip over to my right shoulder and I nudge my head into his shoulders. He rests his head onto my head and he starts to lean back.

“You can’t be everything, I mean you can only do so much at a time.” I support him and I let go of his chest. “You only have so much time.” I hold him.

I get up and I stand up on our king sized bed. “Slow down buba.” Matt whines as he gets up with me.

I run to my aide of the bed. “Dream on baby.” I taunt him. I grab a pillow and a nerf gun that I hide on my nightstand. “Slow down!” Matt laughs. He runs over towards me.

I know I can’t fix the way he feels so I distract him. He doesn’t like to talk about his feelings, so I just push it away for him.

“You can’t get me!” I slide under our bed and crawl out to the door. I fall into our wall parallel to our bedroom window.

Matt jumps out of the room and he grabs his secret weapon. He has a huge nerf gun and he starts shooring at me. He soars through the room. He falls down the stairs as he jumped up. “Too bad you’re an old man!” I laugh at him as I walk over to the fridge. I open the door as he walks over to me. He hits his head and he falls to the ground.

“OUCH!” Matt looks up at me in betrayal. “Sorry!” I laugh out. I start shootings at him. “I win.” I close the fridge door and hold out a hand for him. Matt grabs me and pulls me down with him. He holds me in this strange position for five minutes.

I sit on top of him, his chest falling up and down as he catches his breath. His he’s son the ground flat against the cold wood in our kitchen. His legs up against my back. I straddle over his pelvis and I fall onto his side. I roll up from the ground and I continue to my work.

“I’m nervous.” Matt follows after me. Distracting him isn’t always the best option. It didn’t last long either. “You can’t be someone you’re not.” I tune apeund in my spinning chair. He’s referring to Jack.

Back in 2018-2019, Jack and Matt had played in the USNDTP with eachother. Jack Hughes hand picked Matty for his team. Obviously Jack is a largely k own player across the league. “Stop it.” I announced, I’m tired of hearing Matt so insecure. He shouldn’t be.

“You made the NHL! Baby you’re good enough! If you truly need help, you can ask Jack for help.” I suggest. Matt and I are leaving for Boston in a few days. “Minnesota is boring anyway, when we leave for your parents house, we can stop by in Michigan.” I get up and hold Matt in my arms. I hug him for a second as I look up. Matt kissed me.

“You’re talented, and very skilled with your tounge.” I laugh out. “Ew. Too corny.” I giggle as I dance with Matt until I hit my head on his shoulder.
