New to Me | Real Techniques Brushes
I'm on the Ulta website pretty much non-stop (i.e. every single day). I like to check out what's new; I like to see what's on sale. Sometimes I'll find a deal too good to pass up and go on a little Ulta spree. This was the case recently.
Ulta had Real Techniques on sale buy one, get one half off. Aside from the fact that Real Techniques is affordable as is, I knew I had to take advantage of this opportunity to get my hands on some of the Bold Metals brushes. Ulta was out of stock on some of the brushes in the Bold Metals range that I'd hoped to get my hands on, but here's what I did manage to snag up during the sale.
- Miracle Complexion Sponge
So I guess this is comparable to the Beauty Blender (I wouldn't know because I have never used a beauty blender before). I've heard great things about the shape of this sponge and I'm pumped to use it.
Brushes include: Sculpting Brush, Fan Brush, Setting Brush
I'm not gonna lie to you guys. I bought this for the fan brush - I don't even know if it's sold alone. I already have a sculpting brush so I figure this will be my backup brush.
Brushes include: Base shadow brush, Deluxe crease brush, Accent brush, Pixel-point    eyeliner brush, Brow brush, and Panoramic brush case
I'm a firm believer that you can never have too many eye brushes. A contradiction to this is I don't have very many eye brushes.
I already have an expert face brush. I bought this one as a backup brush. Sometimes I'm lazy (read: most of the time) and it's nice to have backups for when your brushes are too dirty to use and you don't feel inclined to clean them.
Okay, so I didn't realize the sculpting kit had a setting brush. Yet another backup.
Originally I wasn't going to buy this brush. And then I remembered that I literally broke the handle off of my Zoeva powder brush. (Shame). This is probably the only brush I actually needed.
- Bold Metals 201 | Pointed Crease Brush
One of the three Bold Metals I managed to get my hands on. I wanted another crease brush because 95% of the time I can't find a clean crease brush. This one is unique as it's pointed. I think it's going to be useful in my collection.
- Bold Metals 200 | Oval Shadow Brush
I don't have many brushes that are easy to use to cover my whole lid. Most of the time the brush I want is covered in a color I don't want to use (ugh, I am so lazy!). This is just an addition to my seriously lacking eye brush collection.
- Bold Metals 203 | Tapered Shadow Brush
Looking back now, I can't really think why I thought I needed this brush. Maybe I was thinking it would be useful for crease work, but now I'm not so sure. This must have been one of those "I'm not really thinking this through" purchases, but I'm sure it will be useful somehow!
- Brush Cleansing Palette
I've looked into the Sigma brush mat, but it's just so expensive! I decided to give this a go and see if it does the job it's supposed to. If it does, it will be the best $5.00 I've ever spent and maybe I'll stop being so lazy when it comes to cleaning my brushes!
Have you tried any of the Real Techniques brushes? Which ones are in your collection?
