An abstract snowy forest. Supplies used: Boku-Undo’s ‘Shadow Black’ watercolor set, Kuretake’s ‘Starry Colors’ set, Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bleedproof White, Fabriano Artistico Cold Press watercolor paper.
I'm experimenting with creating bokeh effects in watercolor painting. For the bottom piece, I lifted the paint with a brush to form circular shapes, while for the top one, I used a circle template and a sponge. I have plenty more ideas to explore and hope to refine the process even further! 😊

Couple quick sketches. Playing around with some color. The top was done with Bombay India inks. The bottom was done with Boku-undo ‘shadow black ‘ which is a mix of Sumi and Japanese watercolor in pan form. Interesting results. Plan on experimenting more this year. Just don’t except Fauvism.
