wish the critical role cast would make a fat character in the main campaign
Body representation in ZHL
Often , when I show a drawing where we can see Zella's chest , I got comments like "we can see her boobs lol" or "dang she got boobs" .
And I got to say something about it .
When I represent naked bodies or general body showing in ZHL , it's principaly not because I find that hot , the most reason I represent (mostly) girls that way is because I want to represent a feminity close to reality , like the one I see everyday , not attractive , not ugly , just real . With hairs , boobs , and bags under the eyes .
I don't want her to be especially sexy , I want her to be realistic and relatable for other women reading my comic or at least feminine like people .
Zella is not pretty all the time , no women are . No men or enby neither . We're all "meh looking" sometimes and I want people to see that instead of just "boooobs lmaooo"
This also goes for Zelbus , Lian and basically every character of the comic .
Here Lian out of her pajama costume
Curves and Muscles in A Song of Ice and Fire Universe vs Our World
Donât worry, this isnât a history lesson. Just a discussion i wanted to have. Everyone is welcome to interact, of course. đ«¶
Hello,
It's possible that you have never seen a post from me in the past, or that you have already read one of my fanfictions. In any case, I'm Earenwen nice to meet you.
I would like to talk about the view of the body in the history of the Middle Ages and the one seen in *A Song of Ice and Fire*, *House of the Dragon*, *Game of Thrones*.
In history, the view of woman bodie's and men was different from now. In the Middle Ages, fat women and men were seen as having wealth, being noble, born from a good family. This body showed that people could survive famine and wars.
Fat women with wide hips were seen as more able to give birth, and childbirth was easier.
Fat men, if muscle was added underneath, were considered stronger and able to survive wars, to protect their families or kingdoms.
In art, whether painting or sculpture, the woman had curves and was considered beautiful.
And something important: today, the most well-known medieval representations of women arenât the ones showing fat women. Yet, in the past, artworks showing fat women were more common and visible. Itâs our modern lens ( and which pieces were preserved, highlighted, or made famous) that erased a lot of these depictions.
A man like the actor of âThe Mountainâ,
(Picture from Imdb. If anyone know a godd gif on Tumblr?)
HafĂŸĂłr JĂșlĂus Björnsson, would have been courted by a large part of the population. (I recommend watching a âstrongman competition" on YouTube, search his name and you will see him winning competitions.)
If Dunkan the tall, has a little fat on his muscles? Courted everywhere. (Even more than the assumptions from the books and fans.)
How should this concern you? Well, in the modern view of beauty, the bodies that were once considered starving and sick are now considered the ultimate beauty.
So no, I am not attacking anyone, I just want to be able to debate.
Debate about how Rhaenyra was shown as thin in the series, while in the books she is shown as chubby/fat. And desirable. (Daemon would never had so many children with her if he did not find her desirable.)
Yes, Robert was shown as fat in the first season of *Game of Thrones*. But during the Middle Ages, he would have been a desired man, even if he drinks too much.
So I ask you this:
What do you think of historical visibility? Should we have more fat bodies or strong fat bodies in historical/fantasy series?
If you want to ask a question or respond, anonymous questions are open as the commentary of this post and I will gladly answer you, of course with kindness."
I wish you all, a good night.
(Yes, I posted a little while ago about fat womenâs bodies in history, to help women feel represented and know that they are loved by their favorite characters, but this time I want to open up the discussion even more.)
Imma just say it:
I want a high romantasy book with a fat FMC.
Or, ya know what, Iâll take plump or athletic or thick too. Just anything but wafer thin!! Or âcurves but only in the right places⊠where her tits and ass are,â fuck all the way off with that.
âBut Scarlett, itâs just not practical because of diets and all the walking and trainingââ I DO NOT CARE!
I just want more vast body representation.

Books I Read in 2024:
Curvy Girls Canât Date Bullies by Kelsie Stelting
His head lowered, and his eyes flicked from mine to my mouth. My stomach swooped in response, then my lips curled in disgust at him and myself.
Ryker might have been attractive, but he was ugly inside.
âI loved EQG to pieces, but the one thing that I wished it did better was the body representation. Both Twilights and Sunset was fine, but I feel like Applejack should've been jacked, Rarity should have a figure, Pinkie could've been a least a little chubby, Fluttershy could've been tall or slim, and Rainbow could've been a little short or at least have some muscle mass and abs. Heck, the mane 7 could've been anything BUT the same body type!â
quick shout out to all the content creators who strive for body positivity and representation. personally, i struggle a lot with my physical appearance, and reading fics/seeing art that feature all body types is really affirming and encouraging. it means so, so much. thank you <333
