Album Number Four Hundred Fifty Two. “Fleetwood Mac” is the tenth studio album by #fleetwoodmac , released on 11 July 1975 by #repriserecords . It was the band's second eponymous album, the first being their 1968 debut album; it is sometimes referred to among fans as the White Album. This was the first Fleetwood Mac album with #lindseybuckingham as guitarist and #stevienicks as vocalist, after #bobwelch departed the band in late 1974. It was also the band's last album to be released on the Reprise label until 1997's The Dance (the band's subsequent albums until then were released through #warnerbrosrecords , Reprise's parent company). My copy is the 1977 reissue on Reprise Records - MSK 2281. Album Number Four Hundred Fifty One. “Heroes Are Hard to Find” is the ninth studio album by #fleetwoodmac , released on 13 Sept 1974. This is the last album recorded with #bobwelch , who left the band at the end of 1974, and who was replaced by #lindseybuckingham and #stevienicks . It was the first Fleetwood Mac studio album recorded in the US (in Los Angeles) as well as their first to enter the top 40 of the Billboard 200 album chart. The title track was edited and issued as a single but it failed to chart. My copy is on #repriserecords - MS-2196. Without a successful single to support the album, it still managed to peak at No. 34 on the Billboard 200 chart, which at the time was the highest Billboard placing for any Fleetwood Mac album. Most of the songs were penned by guitarist/singer #bobwelch and keyboardist/singer #christinemcvie , who were instrumental in steering the band toward the radio-friendly pop rock that would make them successful a few years later. My copy is the 1977 gatefold reissue on #repriserecords - MSK-2279 #mysterytome sold moderately well, peaking at number 67 on the US Billboard 200 chart dated 22 December 1973. Despite not being a hit single, the song "Hypnotized" became an American FM radio staple for many years. Album Number Four Hundred Forty Seven “Future Games” is the fifth studio album by #fleetwoodmac , released on 3 Sept 1971. It was recorded in the summer of 1971 at Advision Studios in London and was the first album to feature #christinemcvie as a full member. This album was also the first of five albums to feature American guitarist #bobwelch . "He was totally different background – R&B, sort of jazzy. He brought his personality," #mickfleetwood said of Welch in a 1995 BBC interview. "He was a member of Fleetwood Mac before we'd even played a note." My copy is on #repriserecords - RS 6465 After founder and original bandleader #petergreen departed in May 1970, the remaining members recorded the album #kilnhouse , with bassist #johnmcvie 's wife #christineperfect being a major collaborator during the sessions. She was soon promoted to full-time membership as the band's keyboardist, and began writing and singing her own material with them. Influential albums in my life #18. I feel like a lot of Fleetwood Mac fans have only really heard their output post 1977 after Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined. They originated in the late 60s fronted by guitarist Peter Green. After he left the main vocal duties were shared by the both outstanding Christine McVie (Christine Perfect) and Bob Welch who sang two of my favorite Mac songs: Hypnotized and Sentimental Lady. Welch later went on to front the art band Paris before going solo in the late 70s. There’s a ton of great Fleetwood Mac material before their mega hit days.
