Aaron Paul has given Robert a very easy voice to listen too. He’s absolutely perfect as a dispatcher who’s the voice on the other end of the line for most of the game’s characters.

That being said, he’s also perfect Voice Kink bait.

So picture this. Robert needs money. He’s 13 years into his hero career and spent basically everything keeping the suit running. He needs to eat. Most importantly though, he needs to feed BEEF!

He decides to make an account on a…certain kind of website.

Now, he isn’t so hot on showing off his scars, they are far too identifiable. Not to mention toys can be pretty expensive and wear out with use. So he decides to only do audio work. He starts off just using his phone. Nothing fancy. No equipment.

He barely gets any attention. Hasn’t made a cent because he’s getting too few views for the site to pay out.

Then another creator slips into his DMs to give him a bit of advice. His account looks like either a phishing scam or a complete amateur. He needs at least some kind of picture to advertise his “product” with.

They’ve listened to the few audios he’s put out. He has a great voice, but it’s obvious that he doesn’t know what to Do with it. He has no direction. No gimmick. No HOOK. They offer to help with advice if he occasionally promotes their own page.

He waffles back and forth, but it’s getting desperate. He’s already had to sell a few things just to make rent. This is his last ditch attempt before selling his good computer setup.

He takes the offered help.

So, at their behest, he picks up a cheap recording setup someone is selling online and a used digital camera. Watches a bunch of videos on YouTube on how to actually Use any of it. Some on recording and editing audio, some on photography.

He takes a couple pictures where he’s just a silhouette, his new buddy picks the best of the clearly amateur works. One for page header, one for a pfp, and one for the videos so it’s not just a black screen.

They also help him workshop a persona. Something comfortable for him but still interesting enough for people to pay for access to his raunchier stuff. He figures it out, puts together a few free access videos plus 1 or two that people can pay for.

Then his new friend name drops his account as an “up-and-coming” for people to check out.

His page explodes in views overnight. Suddenly he’s getting pings from his DMs asking if he’s going to be doing lives or taking requests. There are comments on his videos pointing out what the viewer’s favorite parts are. Favorite lines he says. Obviously it’s not all positive, but the negative viewers are drowned out by the positive.

He’s found a niche of people that love his flat voice and deadpan, sassy, delivery but also love when it Slips a little.

His Praising audios are particularly popular. None of his free audios involve him getting off. They’re all about him talking the listener through it.

His Payed works however…those are the juicy ones. Those are when the deadpan slips away. When you can hear tension building. Everyone listening is just Waiting for him to break. To see how long he’ll hold out with his usual demeanor.

He caters to all genders too. Has a way of speaking that keeps it perfectly ambiguous so he gets big in all crowds.

By the time of the beginning of the game, Robert has an actual space he rents just for recording. He has the money for it now, but his apartment is still super depressing and barren.

All this leading up to… a member or members of the Z team recognizing his voice. Because they are an Avid listener.

Maybe recognize a specific phrase he says. The Way he says it. Because it’s a popular request from his praise audios. It always gets him big tips when he does the rare Live Show.

Or maybe they just listen to him so much that they have his voice memorized. (This is my favorite option. Talk about parasocial relationships. Maybe this could turn into an “obsessed partner” situation?)

Could be Flambae, who started listening to this guy online because he kind of sounded like Mecha Man and some of his more submissive audios scratched that “hate/horny” itch. But he kept coming back because the Praise audios wormed into his brain just so good.

Could be Visi, needing to feel like she wasn’t such a fuck up, no-good, hopeless, villain. That she could be good. Could be treated good.

Could be Waterboy, using it to boost his own confidence. At least with things related to sex.

Could be any of them with a voice kink. Could be all of them at once for various reasons.
