The Lake- Maximilion Levaincois-
Late Summer Meetings (Finale)
Youâd awoken in much the same way you did every day, with the sun rising and shining through your partially opened curtains, it was always such a warm and pleasant way for you to wake up, as your eyes slowly began to adjust to the shining light in the bedroom. Quickly tossing on some of your clothing, you let a shy smile shine over your cheeks as you began to pull clothes from your wardrobe, finding a jacket and throwing it over your shoulders running out of the house, your job today was to try and help you mother set up her stall in the local markets as it always was. Usually, your job was also to help your mother look after the stall or simply watch it alone all day, today you were helping your mother set up with your siblings and then watching them for the day while your mother watched after the stall alone.Â
After setting up the stall until the soft morning sun you went round to your mothers house, and helped your younger siblings get ready for the day ahead, making them breakfast as you thought about what you could do with the day before finally settling on the idea of oh heading down to the lake, you knew you would be able to have a good day down there with your little brother and sister.
Leaving the house with your younger siblings you took both of their hands, one on either side of you, with them both giggling and joking alongside you as they clung to you, pointing out random things while you both walked through the busy market place, smiling softly down at their babbling, trying to offer them reassurance as you headed through the markets, your focus completely on the both of them meaning you werenât watching where you were going, the next thing you know you collided with someone, your head hitting someoneâs chest, you glanced up ready to mumble apologises as you met with hazy violet eyes,
âIâm so sorryâ You apologised in a mumble, heâd reached out on impact, his hands now holding onto your shoulders, steadying you when youâd walked into him trying to make sure that you wouldnât stumble and fall over, and yet, he still held tightly onto your shoulders.Â
âDonât worry about itâ He responded softly gazing into your eyes from beneath his hood, you gave him a soft smile as he shot you one that took your breath away, his smile reaching all the way up to his perfect violet eyes, making you melt slightly as your siblings tightened their grasp on your hands. Usually, people would be rude if youâd bumped into them, and you probably would have fallen straight onto your ass and people wouldnât have grabbed you to try and stop you, and yet, heâd stopped you, and it seemed without much more than a second thought. That smile, that look in his eyes, everything about him, from how sweet he was, to the fact he had saved you made him even more charming.Â
Letting your head drop down, you began to excuse yourself, wanting to carry on with your plans with your siblings, but as you went to walk away with your siblings babbling having started up all over again, you felt his hand on your shoulder again, turning your head slightly you caught his gaze for a moment,Â
âPlease donât goâ He whispered to you, almost seeming to beg you not to leave him, you smiled at him, and looked at him for a moment before gazing back down at your younger siblings,Â
âIâve promised to take them down to the lake,â You said to him in a small, soft voice, you almost wished you could stay with him, something pulling you towards him, but you had your siblings to look after and they always came first. And yet, the boy just let a smile crawl across his lips as he gazed over you and your brother and sister.Â
âMay I join you?â He asked you, and you started walking without responding, before turning back to him and nodding at him for a second. The man fell into step next to you, your sister briefly let go of your hand and the man captured her in his arms, picking her up in a second and carrying her down to the lake while your little brother still grasped your hand tightly, despite the gap between the both of them they were still babbling to each other.Â
As soon as the deep blue water of the lake came into sight it shone underneath the sun, and you felt the little hand grasping yours let go, and watch as your sister pushed on the mans chest, and he slowly placed her on the floor, letting her chase after your brother, watching as your brother stumbled slightly over his own feet,Â
âBe carefulâ You yelled out after them both, not wanting to see either of them fall over their own two feet, gazing at the boy next to you for a moment he shot you a dazzling smile, and you felt your cheeks flush a dusty pink. Watching as your siblings jumped into the lake with little thought to the fact of getting wet or even caring just wanting to enjoy the cold water on the warm summer day. Perching on the grass beside the lake you sat a little way aways, being able to keep an eye on them and yet not worry about them soaking you through.Â
âI donât believe I got your nameâ He stared at you under the sun, his hood still covering his hair and some of his face, but you could see the faint smile he was offering,Â
â(Y/N) (L/N)â You told him simply, as you heard a loud shriek from the lake briefly looking over to see that your sister seemed to have tossed water over your brother,Â
âThatâs a very beautiful name, Iâm Maximillion, my friends call me Max,â He told you softly, and you laughed at his response staring at him with a skeptical look,Â
âYou have the same name as Prince Max,â You told him matter-of-factly and he simply nodded at you as though what youâd just said didnât matter, just gazing out aimlessly across the water. Â
Both of you sat there, gazing across the shimmering lake water, talking aimlessly, you were sat there telling this stranger, Max, all about your hopes and dreams, your dreams that someday you would have something bigger than a market stall, that your whole life was;t going to revolve around racing around and helping your mother. he offered you a smile, seeming to intently listen to everything that you were saying, and yet you just let a sigh slip past your lips as you finished pouring your heart out about what you wanted for the future,Â
âWhat about you, whatâs your dream?â You asked him softly turning and smiling at him, finding that he met you with a smile just as dazzling before shaking his head and you could see it in his eyes, the sadness in those violet pools,Â
âI donât know, there is a lot expected of me it doesnât really leave much time for dreaming,â He told you simply, a sigh slipping past his lips. His words and his tone left you feeling sorry for him, he had no dreams, no aspirations. You could only wonder what type of parents he had, the type who wouldnât want their child to dream of a better life, of better things.Â
A slight breeze rolled over the both of you, not strong enough to cause any discomfort to the both of you, but it was strong enough blow down the hood of his jacket, leaving you to watch as you were met with shining grey hair, along with the shimmering violet eyes youâd been captured by it was clear who you had been talking to, who you were sat beside.Â
Prince Maximilion Levaincois.Â
Jumping up in an instant you were on your knees bowing before the prince, eyes on the grass as you bowed before him like any commoner should, and you didnât see it but the Prince was simply gazing down at you with a confused, rather skeptical look at your sudden movement before he realised what had happened, that youâd seen who he was. Your nose was inches from the grass, and you could hear the rustling of him moving, and then he was down next to you, his hand moving and pushing your chin up so youâd sure back into his eyes,Â
âPlease get upâ You gazed at him rising to your feet the only sound around the both of you being your younger siblings laughing in the lake below, your head was still bowed slightly as you stood up, briefly shooting a glance down at your younger siblings who played in the lake none the wiser to the current scene.Â
âListen, (Y/N), I like you because when Iâm with you I donât feel like a prince, I feel like Max, please donât blow, please look at meâ He spoke with that same sorry tone form when heâd asked if he could join you, that same tone where he was almost begging you but the Prince wouldnât beg you. You looked up at him, once again catching his violet eyes, you could see the sadness in them, his hands cupped your face, one of his thumbs rubbing across your flushed cheeks as he leaned in towards you, placing a quick fleeting peck on your lips, before capturing your lips with his again for another moment, a perfect magical moment, the whole world silencing around you, as Prince Max kissed you.Â
He pulled away from you breathlessly,Â
âYou canât like me, youâre the Prince, Iâm a commoner,â You told him simply, it was the facts, and yet he simply shook his head at your words,Â
âI know, but that doesnât mean I wonât tryâ he stated simply with a quick shrug of his shoulders, staring deep into your eyes,Â
âLike I said, I like you (Y/N)â All you could do was look at him as he took a deep breath and pressed another kiss on your lips.Â
It was a whirlwind afternoon, and even though it may always remain your whirlwind afternoon with your Prince, you were loving this moment.Â
