"--- You're not supposed to move that." At least, that's what Tony had said to him when he approached the damned blinking device. It was in the way and he didn't know what to do with it.

"---- do you still want to do that dance?"
Regret, regret, regret.

"Neighbor, it's been a while." Besides the fact the last he'd seen of her was when SHIELD was crashing and burning beneath his finger tips, then again, most anyone he'd seen was then. Being undercover for his part was rather a ridicule idea in the first place.

"If you're looking for him, he's not here and we have means of communication with him-- Is there anything else you need?"
Blunt, concise, no room for question.

The first thing that registered was the smell. Thick, chocking smoke and dust mingling in the air, stealing the breath from her lungs and making her gasp. This was not her forest. The whole place smelled like Mordor.
The second was the noise. Loud noise, trumpets and voices entwined together, making her ears drum with pain and almost sending her to her knees. Her hands dropped the bow and her palms pressed flat to her ears trying to keep the noise out. There was never noise such as this back home.
The third was the light. Everything was brighter and flashed, there were no trees to keep the Sun out, no shade to turn her gaze towards. Her vision turned blurry as she blinked repeatedly as she tried to adjust to the light.
The last thing was the stranger. She had brushed against him by mistake as she had moved erratically, trying to make a sense of where she was. There was hostility in his gaze and she would have moved to grasp her weapons had her senses not been overloaded by light-smell-noise. Her whole body shifted into a defensive stance as she rasped in a panicked voice.
"Where am I?" Her words came out in Common rather than Sindarin, but her accent was still there.
Maybe it was his own confusion, taken by how she looked, the way she stood defensively against him as if he would do her harm instead of just be in his own defensive stance. Taking to the shield in his hand, raising it higher, presenting it as his own means of a guard, staring at her. Her look only reminded him of when he was thawed, taken to that room, having been presented as if the world hadn't toppled over while he was frozen. "Manhattan, New York. take it easy, ma'am. What's your name?"
