grey only had one word for her life currently, disastrous. ever since the trial, there had been police plastered at her door step and taking over her living room, trying to protect her. she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and no matter how scarred she was from witnessing what she did, matters became much worse when she started to receive threats. for over a month, she had had protection, yet it wasnât enough. the threats continued and grey found herself face to face with danger yet again when the police on duty failed to do their jobs. after that incident, the police decided to put her in witness protection, sending her to the other side of the country. she had a new name, a new identity, and apparently, a new husband. the fight was long enough for her to sleep, and the drive from the airport felt even longer. when they finally arrived at her new home, grey immediately got a nasty taste in her mouth. the house was small, too small for her to be comfortable with and she questioned her driver, asking if it was the correct address. when he assured her they were in the right place, she sighed heavily and stepped out of the car, turning her nose up at the home. her name was no longer grey, she was to go by faith and only faith. even her new husband wasnât allowed to know her true identity, or what brought her to the house. finally, after a long deliberation, grey made her way to the front door, turning the knob slowly and stepping inside. following behind her was the driver, dropping her bags by the door before leaving. the place was small, poorly decorated, and smelled of dust and moth balls. the blonde wanted so badly to turn around and run out the door, back to her loft in the city, but she knew that would only put her back in danger. âhello?â she called out to the quiet, not sure if her âhusbandâ had been home, making her way through the house.
