plot: emily and your muse are carpooling for a short trip with mutual friends but things are a little awkward because something happened before the trip (they kissed/fought/broke up/almost kissed/etc)
suggested connections: ex/crush/best friend/a friend’s sibling or partner
“I don’t know what you want me to say,” Emily shrugged, not even bothering to look up at the other. Instead, she stared at her hands in her lap. In front of their friends, she could easily act like nothing was wrong. But now that they were trapped in the car together, she’d grown brooding and quiet. Fiddling with her hands, she couldn’t figure out what she could say next. “I just don’t have anything to say to you.” It wasn’t really a lie. Because the only thing that came to mind when she thought of them was a string of sounds and curse words. A reflection of embarrassment, anger and frustration that she felt when it came to them.
