Its why I can’t romance Gil…I just can’t stand the baby shit

Oh, trust me, I get it. I REALLY want to rip out and replace every last second of his story in Andromeda.

He’s just my primary romance because there are seeds to a character I’d really love if he got any actual attention in the game, and my other options are... lackluster - Reyes I legit cannot stand, and Jaal, for all that I stood with #MakeJaalBi, is just not a romance I’ve warmed to, pretty much because of how hard he’s still hit with the ‘no homo’ bat in banter dialogue (plenty of jokey-flirts with the women and only the women, plus the stuff with him and Peebee), and the fact that I’ve always gotten uncomfortable with the “family gathering” scene because of my own social anxiety... For me, Gil is the “best” of a bad situation all around.

i had a good laugh picturing the entire me3 prologue with shepard holding the hamster’s cage and refusing to let go with anderson or even the kid looking at them like ಠ_ಠ while shepard is all ʘ‿ʘ

Returned from the dead kiss

Shepard’s heart pounded like a drum in his chest, hard enough that he half-expected it to break open his sternum under his armour. His hands fumbled for the latches of his helmet to tear it off, baring his head, his face, his eyes to the scorching Horizon sunlight and familiar brown eyes.

“Kaidan.”  Quiet, a whisper loud with unspoken emotion. Not the way you should call the name of a former coworker, a friend. But Kaidan had never been just a coworker, just a subordinate.

But there had been their ranks, their mission, Torfan, Ash between them and Shepard had never been able to find the words for the things he wanted in the quiet of his own head.

Kaidan stepped forward, into him, chest to chest. The ceramic plating of their armour clacked together. And then they were kissing, Kaidan’s hard gloved hand curling around the top of his plating, his mouth firm and quietly desperate in its movements. Shepard wrapped his arms around him, the muscular solidity of him.

Alive, alive, alive. They were both alive. The terrible fear that had burnt through him like corrosive acid began to wash away.

He didn’t care that his squadmates and that stupid civilian were there. Because  Shepard was alive and so was Kaidan.

Kaidan slowly pulled back, stubble rubbing against Shay’s clean-shaven cheek. His eyes lingered on the red-raw scars that split his jawline.

I thought this a was a rather widely accepted understanding?
