Prancing into the week with these silver beauties. 🐎 🐎 🐎

We know it’s the dog days of summer but that didn’t stop our blue crew from gathering a few weeks ago for our final blue skies’ Christmas party.

We usually exchange names for gift-giving but this year, since it would be our last gift exchange, we decided to commemorate the occasion by each making something that evoked blue skies and then randomly exchanging our creations.

Through our years of working together, we grew tight bonds and made life-long friends, including many of you.

The 2025 December holidays are only five months away so we are wishing all of you early season’s greetings! We’ll miss shopping with you but we know you to be great gift givers, so we are confident you’ll find perfect little gifts at all the other great local gift shops and boutiques throughout our city.

Recently, some of you have shared that you’ve received gifts from blue skies that were purchased and wrapped before we closed our doors in April, and that those gifts brought some bittersweet emotions.

Thank you for sharing those stories…and thank you again for all your love and support over our 25 years. Here’s to peace, love and blue skies forever! 🩵💙🩵

Carried away the last two loads from blue skies today, leaving behind a colorful shell.

It was such a gift to share this wonderful old building with AVA - Association for Visual Arts and River Street Deli for 22 years.

You know Chattanooga’s really a small town when our very own @theonitapottery ‘s son Darrell Hinton, is the @chattfiredept fire marshal sent to inspect @pedestrianwinandcheeseshop just a few doors away.

And you realize what a small world it is when you learn that, like Darrell, shop owner Bill Reed’s older brother was a recent heart transplant recipient! Bill said to thank Denise for raising a true gentleman. We concur!

Pedestrian passed its fire code inspection so they will be opening their Frazier Avenue doors in mid-June.

Don’t forget to follow their shop here on Instagram, and once they’ve opened, stop by and say hi to Bill and to a few pieces of blue skies’ furniture that have gone to live on as fixtures there. 🩵 🍷

We couldn’t imagine a more fairy tale ending for our store counter than for it to have a second life at a bee farm! 🩵🐝

Our longtime friends Bambara and Corbin Timmerman will be opening their bee farm @mountainbloomhoney later this year in north Georgia.
