Lazaward is an Arabic word that eventually became “azure”, and seemed a fitting name for the next member of the What If Rainbow, the blue roan mustang! I had several blue roans in my childhood Breyer horse herd, and I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of a real horse that is colored like a My Little Pony! This bait started as a Moonstone who came from my dear friend Marbletoast, and she got a fresh dip in Kentucky Blue dye before I added some purple points! I originally made her corn spots black, but I thought it wasn’t keeping with the spirit of the MLP colors, so I layered a very dark purple over it, to match her eyes. It’s hard to see unless you see her in bright light!
