One of my favorite moments from Blue Lapis Light performance of "Stardust" on the Highmark building in downtown Pittsburgh during the 2017 Three Rivers Arts Festival.

“My first performance with Blue Lapis Light was Heaven Earth One in 2012. The experience was incredible.” Blue Lapis’s performances are largely created to combine different art forms such as architecture, lighting design, sound design and aerial dance as a culmination of site-specific dance. “Dancing outside on a terrace with the city skyline illuminated behind us felt exhilarating. It was really great to jump into a piece of work, joining a group of beautiful movers who were dedicated and passionate about what they were doing. The show was my first taste of the euphoria that comes with dancing as an extension of a site’s existing architecture and learning how to become a part of the space.”
