Another day, another timeline hop. Solis was careful and always probed timelines before getting into them. The last thing he needed was to stumble and end up trapped for another few years, being altered again.
Bitter? Nah.
He chuckled softly, the soles of his running shoes meeting soft snow. He fell through it until the snow was compacted underneath him with the gentle crunch he was familiar with. Snowdin Forest. A good place to land outside of, even if it meant a high chance of meeting his counterpart in this timeline. Not that it was always a bad thing; he did love their looks when he would make a pass at them. It was the little things in life.
Solis hummed as he started walking towards Snowdin proper. Whatever may come, heβd take it all.

*[-- Thinking on it, Sans realizes this was likely an inevitability. While the sentry rarely parts with his trusty black hoodie, finding comfort in the extra layer of fabric and pockets to stuff hands into, every now and then he also fancies a nice walk in the nippy air of Snowdin; leaves his jacket slumped in a heap atopΒ wooden station, coming back for it no more than ten minutes later.]
*[Usually, this routine includes the shorty making a crucial shift. It is with utmost precaution that Sans transfers his walletΒ from favored hoodie pocket to that of his shorts, so as to keep it always on his person-- unfortunately for the brawler, this had dared slip his mind today.]
*[And thus, of course, the universe has decided to punish him. When Sans returned to reclaim the familiar article of clothing, precious wallet was already gone from within it; not having realized his initial blunder just yet, it took the skeletonΒ a whole fifteen minutesΒ to even realize that shit was missing at all.]
*[...So now, here he is, huffing and puffing before the very culprit. Itβs taken a lot of tactful effort to track the other down, but Sans is nothing if not determined-- nobody steals from him, or makes him look the fool. Yellow pupils blaze like two little suns, glaring down the alternate before the him even as the icy winds sting against his cheekbones. Spine straight and posture tense, voice rumbles deep in the chest as the shorter takes a step forward.]
*Β β -- gimme one good reason not ta dustΒ your ass here anβ now.Β β
*[Jagged maw curls into the most awful grin.]
*Β β ...anβ donβt try ta play dumb with me, pal, or yβgonna regret it.Β β

Everything was so new. Β He had never been in a room before. He had never seen anyone other than the man who would come in and speak to him at times while he was confined in the huge tube of fluid. But one day he noticed someone else. Another skeleton. But he was different, taller and lankier. He looked so sweet, always smiling no matter what. Sans didnβt know anything about him but something stirred within him, making him want to protect this smiling skeleton no matter what the cost. As time went by those feelings only seemed to grow. So when the time came that the doctor actually let them meet he was all too eager, only able to babble small things or words they thought they knew. Words they had heard. Curiously they had touched eachother, making sure the other was real. But then he did something surprising...The other skeleton hugged him. He had never been hugged before. It made him feel oddly warm and happy. This was a feeling he felt he didnβt ever want to lose. He didnβt ever want to lose this other skeleton. He was all Sans had. He didnβt want to let go.
