Let’s talk about our fur family!!! Meet Patches our 8 year old Aussie Blue Cattle Dog who has never grown up. He’s such a devoted and loving boy, he’ll gaze into your eyes with undying love and adoration for hours if you let him. He hasn’t left my side since I came home from hospital, he has to have a ‘paw’ on me to make him feel settled and he worries about his humans. He went from room to room checking on us yesterday afternoon until he unusually settled on my bed with me, his head on my leg bless him. His mother is almost 13 and she’s too cool for school but is still loving but getting old and often intolerant of her needy boy. He just wants everyone together and happy, if there’s some chicken to fall from a plate somewhere. Life is better with dogs, they’re so perceptive to human emotion and incredibly loyal. My goal is to have a therapy dog for my practice to help with clients who find it difficult to verbalise, children who struggle to connect due to trauma, dogs in particular are amazingly intuitive.
