Savor the mouthwatering flavors of this Traeger grill-made smoked blueberry bread pudding. The ideal balance of sweetness and smoke for a delicious treat.
Ingredients: 1 loaf of stale bread, cubed. 2 cups fresh blueberries. 4 large eggs. 2 cups whole milk. 1 cup heavy cream. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted.
Instructions: Set the Traeger grill to 350F/175C. Mix the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt in a sizable bowl. To ensure even coating, add the cubed bread and blueberries to the egg mixture and stir gently. Give the mixture ten to fifteen minutes to soak. Transfer the melted butter into a baking dish and level it out on the bottom. Spread the bread and blueberry mixture evenly in the baking dish after transferring it there. After preheating the Traeger grill, place the baking dish on it and smoke it for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the pudding sets and the top becomes golden brown. Before serving, take it off the grill and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, with the option to garnish with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
