omg, you are so right! I think the exact same thing whenever I see a show with hispanic characters. They’re just disappointing.
Those characters usually have one or two lines in Spanish. On Glee, Chord and Amber had a better pronounciation while singing half of their songs in Spanish, while Naya had what? Three lines? Not to mention that La Isla Bonita has nothing but the title about "Spanish culture".

yesterday i wanted to watch a clockwork orange. after the fisrt five minutes and fisrt rape scene i thought it would be over, but when the second one came no longer than ten minutes later, i just stopped watching
and now i am watching the original "the girl with the dragon tattoo" and yep two rape scenes alrealy
i just can't enjoy the rest of the movie and i can't even focus on the plot after those things, ugh
