ahhhh it's so nice to be asked twice!! thank you thank you!! so, as i said to @lululawrence, idk that i can pick a top five, but i can pick five that are favorites!! for that one, i just started at the beginning of when i started writing and picked the first five i really loved (you can see what i said here). for this one, i'll just pick up where i left off!

Come All Ye - this one is absolutely ridiculous, and it entertains me a lot. my parents were actual hippies, and i was definitely a 90's/00's hippie, and i have spent a lot of time in the pagan crowd and the trad music scene both, so getting to write the boys as actual 70s hippies at glastonbury and harry as some sort of horny neo-pagan was very fun for me specifically. also, @allwaswell16 said it was hot, so there.

The Beautiful Game (Group Stage) - this is a WIP, which is lame of me, BUT i do think the first chapter stands on its own, fwiw. and i am working on the next chapter. i'm just slow. anyway, dialogue is not my normal wheelhouse, but frankly i think i ate here. it's funny AND hot, which is hard for me. if you like OT5 smut, go read it and tell me to post more of it.

the blue neverending sky - ohhhh i like this one. it was a lot longer in my head than it came out, but i think that's ok. i was *obsessed* with this song when it came out mumble mumble years ago, and it just felt so perfect for this little achey fic; the idea that something that is completely, objectively true must not be, because if it is, then that means someone you love is lying, so it's easier to disagree with reality. whoof. it is an open-ended/ambiguous ending, but i think you can absolutely headcanon a happy ending if you want to.

(on the edge until) you pull me in - ahhh we love a wankersday fic! lol for some reason this post is getting all the smutty fics i like best. i like louis in this a lot, not sure exactly why, but i really do. i am definitely planning on expanding this at some point, because it's a story that's very much in my head.

Remember Me As A Time Of Day - my beloved, my baby, my masterpiece. this one is right up there with my two Eroda fics in the list of fics that own my soul. i started plotting it out about six months after i started writing 1D fic, but i really wanted to give it the time and space it deserved, so i picked at it for like a year, and then i finished it up for the big bang this year. it's 70k, but honestly, i'd like to expand it. i think it could be better, but even so, i love it. i want to harass more people into reading it LOL but i know OT5 is not everyone's thing, sigh, and i respect that.

I want love, and family, and a bond. I want someone I know I’m compatible with, who I trust to respect me, and that I know will always do his best for me.” He reaches out to cup Liam’s cheek in one hand. “That’s you. No matter what the rest of the lads decide, I’m in. I want you.”

ahhhhh thank you so much for asking!!! but also, OMG this is HARD!!

ok, i'm just gonna go from the beginning of when i started posting in 1D and pick my favorites and stop when i hit five, because i think i have more than five favorites LOL

neither wanting more, neither asking why: so, first up, my OT5 series that i wrote for @wordplayfics in 2022, which were five of the first seven fics i ever wrote for this fandom. i wrote this intentionally as a character study, because i figured if i was gonna be writing for this fandom, writing an OT5 fic from all five PoVs was going to be a really good way to get a handle on writing each of the boys. the unexpected side effect was that i completely fell in love with each of them as i did it, whoops. i'm still very soft for this series, and for all of them in it.

you, you still open the door: this is not a popular fic, and i get it, lol. it's historical, it's painful, and it's open ended, LOL, a real trifecta of things people don't really want to read. OH WELL. this idea just grabbed me by the balls and wouldn't let go till i wrote it, and it's still got a powerful grip on me. i might rewrite it as a novel someday, i love it that much. we'll see.

oceans tide you home: i'm cheating a little bit including these two as a series, but: Driftwood, which i wrote for the eroda fest, and Flowers in the Window, which i wrote for last year's big bang. i am a huge geography and history nerd, so the concept of eroda lives rent-free in my mind. i did SO much fun research for this, and even made up bits of both erodese and erodan (yes, they're different), and local myths, and on and on, and i had such a good time doing it. i still want to rework parts of FitW especially - i got in that place where you're pressed for time and you freeze up because you're worried about doing a bad job, and then you do a worse job because you froze up and didn't do anything for a while. but i love these fics anyway, the strangeness and sense of place of them.

California Stars: speaking of fics with a strong sense of place, LOL. oh, california stars, my beloved. my first advent fic, and it was so much fun, and i love it so much, and it brought me so many nice comments and lovely people who came and started talking to me and following my fics. i still love this fic, i think it's achy and sweet and writing it as journal entries was a really fun conceit.

i still wanna dance with you: i'm not sure this is one of my best fics, but it's another one that i'm just soft for. i think it could have been better if it were longer and more fleshed out, but eh. i still think it's sweet. harry in this has my heart.

“Louis said… he said, ‘Wait till Zayn finds out. He’ll have some words for you,’ and at first I was just like, oh god, Zayn’s never going to speak to me again in my life.” Liam laughs again, a sound like ice breaking in the lake come spring. “And then I thought… would an alpha sit around and wait for someone to come to them? Would an alpha hide in their house, wondering what the person they love most in the world was thinking about this?” He shakes his head. “Next thing I knew, I was on a plane.”

Louis's in his nest when the text comes through, a simple link to the Daily Mail. He sighs deeply and closes his eyes. Daily Mail links never mean anything good, but if it's Oli sending it to him, it must be important. He opens his eyes and clicks the link.
