Tragedy had struck once again. After weeks of fruitful work and excellent results, Rook had been forced out of her guarded campsite and back among civilization. She was usually able to put up with it long enough to gather supplies, but she was already looking quite drained and miserable.
Though there was some light at the end of the tunnel. Her work had brought her to Galar once more and right at the same time as Russell. Rook enjoyed his company and supposed she would be fine while she waited for him to be done. The nice thing about Ballonlea, other than the beautiful forest, was the presence of a lovely bakery. A quiet spot full of sweets actually wasn't that bad.
She would be fine as long as nobody tried talking to her. Hopefully, with her notes spread out in front of her, she definitely looked busy enough. The Houndoom resting its head on her leg should have been even more of a motivation to leave them be.
"Are you hungry, Thea? I'll get you something in a bit."
Thea growled softly and nuzzled her leg in appreciation.
