Catch RubyGold and Ms Jones at Blomplek - Orlando East. 18:00 - 11 Nov 2017. @BlomPlek_SA @camuscognac @MsJonesDJ @RubyGoldLive Ms Jones is a DJ, producer and entrepreneur with impeccable acumen and bite. Her latest single Ithuba released through eMabalabala Records home of Lvovo, Dj Bongz, Chynaman Du Boiz is pushing her up the charts and ladder of prominence in the country. The infectious feel good dance track is inspirational and reflects her journey in the industry. In it Ms Jones asks to be given a chance to play her role and breakthrough. “The response to Ithuba has been overwhelling. It gets people moving and singing along because the hook is so easy to memorise,” she shares. Ms Jones, 28, from Bekkersdal in the West Rand of Gauteng is the only female artist at the eMabalabala stable. She started playing vinyls in 2007 and featured her mixes on radio stations such as MetroFM and MotswedingFM. She was part of the collective LiraJones which released a compilation in 2009. But the following year she stepped out on her own as Ms Jones and rebranded her offering. What stood her in great stead is the tutelage she enjoyed at the feet of maestro hitmaker DJ Oskido as a beneficiary of his Believe Foundation which finetuned her skills in the technical side of DJing, marketing and the business of showbiz. As part of the training she was sponsored with a studio to record her music. By 2011 a bolder and fortified Ms Jones returned with vengeance. She released music independently with not much airplay as an underground artist. She had a breakthrough into mainstream in 2013 with the release of Me and Ms Jones and The Mood featuring Maseng on vocals. The latter proved to be a bigger hit and Ms Jones believes it’s because she had learned a lot more about the industry and getting her music out which resulted in some impressive radio airplay. #MsJones #TellMe #Ithuba #BlomPlekSA #AfroOrigins #Events #FemaleDJ £House #HouseMusic #DeepHouse #EDM #Electro #Afro #AfroHouse (at Blomplek)
