To blog or not to blog... That is the #Blogg100 question
A bit more than a year ago, I committed to the so called #Blogg100 challenge â to write a blog post each day for 100 days. That time i only managed to write 20 blog posts, until I gave up. I gave up because it had started to feel like burden to try to come up with something to write every day and I ended up staying up late nights, feeling forced to finish before I went to bed. Committing to a goal didn't give me the boost of inspiration in my writing as I had hoped. My last blog post that time was about the Swedish tradition to eat "semlor" on Fat Tuesday. Not very interesting I would sayâŠÂ The day after was the first day of lent so I decided that I should give up the #blogg100 challenge at least for lent⊠I ended up not writing anything on this blog until 5 months later, so for 5 embarrassing months I had that stupid post there at the top of the blog⊠And now I haven't written anything again for almost 8 months...Â
Today, a new #Blogg100 challenge is starting here in Sweden. I have still not decided if I'll commit and try to fulfill that commitment this time, or if I should instead do something that I considered last year: to instead of doing #blogg100 do #write100 and commit to writing something every day. It could be something in my diary, a chapter in a book idea I had, or a hand-written letter to an old friend. I still think that #write100 might be a more feasible plan for me, but I thought I'd at least try to write something on Day 1 of #Blogg100, and then we'll see what happens next. :) I am also considering starting a blog in Swedish so it might be that I'll be writing on different blogs different days. But now - I have at least started! Wish me luck, and please let me know if you're hoping for me to continue!
Lesson of the Day: The Swedish "Sports Break" that schools have this time of year is not the best time to visit "Tekniska Museet".
Queues were long today to the National Museum of Science and Technology - although, I decided to buy an annual pass, which allowed us to pass the queue. :) I can really recommend their exhibition Game On 2.0 â the world's largest exhibition of computer games. This week a new related exhibition started as well called "AteljĂ© dataspel" (Atelier computer game) with gamers' own art.Â
Blessing of the Day: Spending the whole day with a person that is dear to me.
Talking, laughing, eating, looking into each others eyesâŠ
