absolutely hate bring up this fandom rn and just in general but this asshole is kinda the way i imagine colin greenmantle acting during latin lessons he held in aglionby. he was forcing these kids read his articles about magic and boasted half of the time. I JUST CAN'T PROVE IT
it was actually so interesting reading bllb after seeing how the fandom talks about pynch in that book. because fan discussions really made me think the visible crushing was gonna be one sided on ronan's end (and to be fair, ronan IS loverboy to the max), but i felt like my head got dunked underwater when i actually read it because it is so clear how much adam is falling in love BACK. like people do not talk nearly enough about how evident adam's growing crush is throughout bllb, how much you see his affection grow. there are so many moments where adam's feelings and yearning are displayed...it was just so beautiful to be in his head and watch him fall in love, even if he didn't know that's what it was just yet. (and all of this holds true for trk, too). and it's just so fucking CUTE man. the thing about pynch is that they are both absolutely insane about each other in every way.
my favourite and underrated bronan moment is from the end of bllb, when both of them got stuck in that cave, and blue wants to find her mom, so ronan, despite hating being alone in the darkness, gives her the only source of light, encouraging to find maura and leave him behind. why it is basically never mentioned anywhere, guys.
