I’ll be honest, most Splatoon matches feel kind of like they have the same dynamic as early Blitz Team from Zoids lol. You’ve got the “Brads” who clearly care most about individual points, blazing trails and just trying to lay as much ink as they can even if it means going in a circle over enemy ink and not gaining new territory. As long as it nets them more individual points they’ll do it. Then you have the “Leenas”–have to be where the action is, have to fire off as much ink at the enemy as they can. Not caring as much about taking ground as racking up their splat count. You’ve got the “Bits” who just kind of rush in and sometimes manage to pull an awesome move out of their ass but also exasperate everybody who sees their recklessness. And then you have the “Jamies”–people who keep an eye on the flow of battle and do what they can to clean up the messes their reckless teammates are making and just in general trying to use some kind of strategy even though they have no chance of getting others to do so (in this case because there’s no communication options that are useful but still). (Also likely mentally going “Guuuuuuuys c'mon work together! Pay attention to your monitor! Guys please!”) And overall you have a more or less dysfunctional group of people who somehow manage to win or end up with a crushing defeat because you had zero teamwork at all.
