I made this map for my campaign, and I thought I'd put it in the DM`s Guild, but I think it will be more useful if it's put right here.

Weeks ago I published a handmade map of the city of the deep gnomex (Svirfneblin), Blingdenstone.

I make a lot of question of being able to visually translate the locations in the imagination of each player while trying to respect the subjectivity of each one. However, the visual design of Blingdenstone always seemed imprecise and difficult to visualize: the city is not in a large gallery like Menzoberranzan, but at the intersection of countless tunnels, bridges and meticulous digs.

Even reading Salvatore's books and some more encyclopedic references like Drizzt's Guide to the Underdark, I could not tell what the city would be like.

We're playing the Out of The Abyss campaign (official 5e module with Demogorgon on the cover), and the troupe has just arrived in Blingdenstone. The map that the module offers served as the maximum reference for this (Blando's most beautiful work), the isometric projection I drew was made through his planned map. I added lots of random bridges and put some whims. The hall of the palace (the sphere), I chose to place a floor lined by a mosaic of so many gems that would reflect something like the spectrum of the rainbow.

My players absolutely loved it. I am not much of preparing "scripts" for these sessions, in fact I am against this kind of thing, I prefer to focus the effort in the elaboration of living and immersive localities that make possible a whole range of choices.
