#blind betta

Emmett is so photogenically handsome I could cry I am one proud momma man oh man I have raised a looker haven't I I'm so proud look at my boy go !!

So I come home from a 2 day vacation, and suddenly one of my bettas is acting strange. I test the water, and all the parameters are fine, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate (just did a water change before I left)

But he's running into things, he's slightly paler than normal. Had a really hard time finding his food, couldn't find his way out of his hide, and he's not coming to the glass anymore when we walk up, and not even acknowledging his reflection.

I was able to successfully hand feed him, and know the soaking in garlic method, but is there anything else I can do? Do you think his eyesight will come back eventually?

I have pictures from about 4 days ago where his eyes are dark (in the same amount of light) but now you can see a super bright blue iris (do fish even have irises?) And both eyes are like that, so I'm pretty sure it's not from physical damage. I can post those pictures if they help?

I just need some advice on if/when this may go away, and how to care for a blind betta, like decoration wise and all.

Came home today to fergus' FIRST BUBBLE NEST !!

And he is in such an aggressive mood hehehh

He is pacing back and forth around his bubble nest flaring at everything.

I walked in the front door after work today and Fergus shot out of his cave and right up to the glass and just stared at me like he had something to say

So I'm like... Fergus, my man... What is up in this Denny's tonight? Eat some shrimp and calm down!

He says I've been spending too much time with PERRL and fussing over PERRLs tank too much.... That he feels NEGLECTED 😧

He says the only way he'll forgive me is if I do a full on paparazzi photo shoot with him.....
