“Hey, you know there’s… a kid on your shoulders, right?” Bakugou points at Todoroki’s back, where a little girl is clinging onto him with the strength of an Olympic weightlifter. She glares at him, and Bakugou glares right back. “Where the fuck did she come from?”
“Don’t swear in front of kids,” Todoroki sighs, squatting to let the girl down. She clings to his leg when he straightens up, still evil-eyeing Bakugou. “I found her lost in the park while I was on patrol.”
“Why is she looking at me like that?” Bakugou grumbles, squinting at the angry kid with a scowl. Her eyes are almost saying Back off! Gah, little fucking brat.
“It’s just your imagination, Katsuki. Will you help me find her parents?” Todoroki looks him in the eye and grabs his hand gently, fingers sliding slowly up his wrist. “We can go to my place after.”
Bakugou swallows thickly. Fuck, how’s he supposed to say no now? “Yeah, fine. Just make it quick.”
“Thanks. I’ll owe you.” Todoroki squeezes his arm once before reaching for his phone. “Watch her for a second while I call the police station.” He wanders a few feet away, and Bakugou looks at the little girl. She’s still glaring daggers at him.
“Why’re you so close to Shouto?” she demands in a high-pitched childish whine. “I saw him first!”
This kid can’t be more than five, and she’s already crushing on Todoroki. Figures. But if this little brat thinks she’s got a chance, she’s about to be sorely disappointed. No matter how young she is, Bakugou will still stake his claim.
He kneels in front of her, making sure Todoroki isn’t looking. “Listen up, kid: I’ll tell you a super-important secret.” When the girl leans closer, Bakugou whispers in her ear, “He’s mine. You know not to take what belongs to someone else, right?”
The girl puffs out her cheeks, but his childish reasoning seems to resonate with her: she glances at Todoroki one last time before nodding begrudgingly. “Okay, big brother. I get it.”
“What— Don’t go calling me ‘big brother,’ kid. My name is Bakugou Katsuki and we’re not related, okay? Hey, why are you holding my hand? Don’t tell me you suddenly like me.”
“I see you two are getting along.” Todoroki reappears, slipping his phone in his back pocket. “The police said to bring her to the station.” He kneels to address the little girl, who’s still clinging to Bakugou’s hand. “Your parents have been looking for you, Kana-chan. Should we go see them?”
Kana nods enthusiastically, tugging on Bakugou’s arm hard enough to nearly knock him over. God, she’s strong for a kid. “Yes! Let’s go, big brother Katsuki!”
“Big brother Katsuki?” Todoroki repeats with an amused expression. They head to the crosswalk that will take them to the police station, and Bakugou flips the bastard off.
“Don’t say a fucking word, Icy Hot. This is all your fault for being such a heartbreaker. Right, kid?”
“Heartbreaker!” Kana chimes in happy agreement, swinging her arm back and forth. “Big brother Katsuki says you belong to him, so I can’t have you. My mommy says it’s not good to steal things.”
Oh shit… Bakugou stiffens under Todoroki’s sudden withering glare. “Uhh… Man, kids these days say the weirdest things, huh?”
“What kind of things are you teaching to a six-year-old?” Todoroki elbows him roughly in the side. “Next thing you know she’ll be saying ‘fuck’ or threatening to blow up a—“
“What does fuck mean?” Kana chooses to ask at the opportune moment.
Todoroki slaps a hand over Bakugou’s mouth with a nervous smile. “Nothing, Kana-chan: it’s just a word grown-ups use sometimes when— Ack! Oh my god, did you just lick me?” Todoroki jerks his hand away in disgust, wiping it on his jeans. “What is wrong with you?”
“A lot of things,” Bakugou says with an innocent smile. “Oh, look, that must be the little brat’s parents over there.”

After the family happily reunites, Bakugou smirks at a scowling Todoroki as they walk side-by-side. “Oi, didn’t make that face, pretty boy: we brought her back safe and sound, didn’t we?”
“Even if that’s true, maybe don’t go around telling kids I belong to you,” Todoroki mutters, a rosy blush blooming on the tips of his ears. Fucking cute.
Bakugou presses their shoulders together. “What can I say? She was in love with you, and I get jealous easily. It’s a disease, really.”
“She’s six.”
“Yeah, and you’re a handsome bastard,” Bakugou replies, his teasing grin growing wider. “Can I still come over?”
“No.”
“Come on, don’t be like that~”
“Fine.” Todoroki hesitates, half-smiling in a way that drives Bakugou absolutely crazy. “You can come over, but you have to call me ‘Shouto-niichan’ just like that.”
“Okay, you’re fucking gross,” Bakugou says, bumps their shoulders together. He glances around to make sure there’s nobody close by before taking Todoroki’s hand and whispering, “Shouto-niichan,” in the softest voice he can muster. It’s too easy to tease him.
Todoroki’s face instantly explodes in a blush, and he covers his face with his free hand. “Never… never do that again, please…”
“What, you don’t like it?” Bakugou blows a soft puff of air in Todoroki’s ear. He might be having a little too much fun. “Niichan~ I said it exactly how you wanted.”
“You’re a… scary person,” Todoroki mumbles in defeat. He’s unbearably cute when he gets flustered. Of course, this kind of expression always leads Bakugou’s mind to more unsavory places.
He runs his fingers up Todoroki’s wrist, waiting for him to shiver. “I’m only scary when someone tries to take what’s mine.”
Todoroki’s blush grows satisfyingly darker. “You’re really too much.”
“But you still love me, anyway.”
“…Sometimes.”
