bro you’re not being the bad guy, you literally said yourself that other people should have stepped in before this; you clearly know you’re making the right choice. unfortunately the best choice can still be v messy and have unwanted consequences, esp w family stuff. the fault is on the ppl who created the situation, not on you for not magically finding a perfect way to clean up their bs.
thanks, that....helps a lot. i still wish it wasnt my job tho, my mom is REALLY pushing me to be nonconfrontational about this. im gonna Do The Thing but it all just sucks so much. why must i, the mentally ill one who literally can't live on my own and can't even reliably take care of a pet, be the Mature Person here?????
