Coming off the tail end of her final run, sweat rolling down her face and arms, Reese was feeling pretty damned good about her performance. The second run had definitely been her best, minimal bails and a few tricks she’d spent ages working on, but even with the less than perfect performance in her final, the bluetonian was content. And the score she’d received was respectable enough that she still felt confident.

Rising from the bench, Reese took two quick pulls from her water bottle before dumping the rest over her head, shuddering from the sudden cold. Done for the week, all she wanted to do was chill. Maybe grab a burger and drink with Neon, or even see if Barter had forgiven her yet. Whatever she decided, she wants something greasy and unhealthy in her stomach right fucking now.

Eyes ghosting over the adoring public, the skater almost made it out of the contest grounds before someone finally caught her eye. And how could she not? Even ignoring the body, a skirt and light blouse tended to stand out in a sea of cutoff sleeves, torn jeans, and studded leather. Making a game time decision to cash in on her temporary celebrity status, Reese changed direction at the last second, hopping the barrier to land next to the dark-haired beauty with her most winsome smile.

Winter didn’t often do work outside of her apartment. It was far too public and loud. Too many distractions. But today there was just something about the stark white of her living space that was setting her on edge. So, she’d packed up her things, bought a coffee, and found herself a secluded place in the asteroid’s library. Winter wasn’t sure how long she’d been sitting there - at some point she’d taken her hair out of its usual bun to relieve a bit of tension - before a young woman approached her.

She looked up with a raised brow, suspicious of any stranger. Not even those who Winter considered herself close to asked if she was ‘okay’. “Perfectly fine,” Her voice was flat and formal, making sure not to give away how she actually felt.
