At first she was glad to see he was catching, until he called Barterâs ability to get her out of trouble into question. Sure, she may not be in the most generous mood with Reese of the whole blackout incident, but she was sure theyâd laugh about it over a couple of drinks soon enough, âI mean, sheâs not the top dog, but she definitely bites the hardest.â
The metaphor was bringing her mind bad places, and the bluetonian decided to abandon it all together before she called up her friend asking to confirm, âI said, making up words isnât gonna make you sound smarter! Need me to speak slower?â
âEven hostile dogs were a collar and leash. Okay, this analogy is taking a quick turn to the creep factor so Iâm going to stop it there.â Closing his eyes, Biffy frowned as he tried to rid himself from the thought.
âUh, no, but Iâm starting to think I might need to speak slower for you.â Reaching up his shirt sleeve, Biffy pulled out a phone. âYo!â Lighting up, his phone beeped, showing it was listening. âGive me the definition of âfacetiousâ.â
After a beep of acknowledgement, and a moment to collect data, a voice rang out from his phone as he turned it to show the woman. âFacetious. Treating serious issues with deliberately inappropriate humour; flippant.â // @prettyndpunkâ
