The wall had stood there, immortalized in the long distant dreams of the past for generations. Nations had come and gone... will had swept past them on conquest... on victory... on terror and pain alike. The land beneath it had once been rich and fertile, prosperous and dangerous all the same...
And now all that stood around it was ruin. Chunks of blasted purple glow-stone and plants and life corrupted by the Taint of eldritch magics long since dredged up from a rampaging former Slumbering Beast.
And yet... atop one of those crumbling battlements sat.. a lone figure. Short, almost stocky in a sense. Cunning, maliciously so. Cruel? Judiciously so. Thinking... ah that was the best part. She was always thinking. Both long and the short of it, there was always some scheme to double-deal. Some numbskull with a prize to wheedle out of it.
And some egomaniac that needed a bigger gun that she could supply thereof... for massive profit. Sure, there had been some... bad seeds for clients as of late. Sociopaths and psychotics alike that forked over precious gold coins for things to go oh so awry.
Below her however wasn't her... or her Guild's doing however. It was in fact the doing of something far worse than her... for the time being. But her Initiates were working on harnessing that Potential Power into something far more... physically dominating than just twisted dragon magics.
A single pebble loosed from a gold and gilded purple gloved hand flew free.. bounced off a much larger stone... and twanged against some sort of... twin-tailed purple monster. That hissed and scurried and made oh so unpleasant noises. That put a spiked grin on her face... easy to provoke, easier then to crush.
With a grunt of distaste and a dusting of soot and stone dust from her posterior she then rose... gazing out over the future battlefield. And with a twist of magics and a short-lived sigh the remarkably flexible necromancer rose up her.. familiar? Golem? Arcane Assistant at best. More bone and flesh and spikes than anything of remote help, but... it was a familiar... face if that could be considered one...
And then without further ado as the cascading storm's shapes could be distinguished into more malevolent features. Features of a creature manufactured of Dragon Magic. Clenching fists around her reclaimed Ascalonian scepter and arcane-infused Pearl Conch, she resigned herself to this.. less than pleasant task.
“All right Goley... let's go cut out a dragon minion's Heart and see just how much power we can put into some Hate Golems with it...”
