I used to be like 'why do people fawn over Pride and Prejudice!! Literary nerds...' and then I read and watched it and still didn't understand. But like 2 years later, looking back....I get it now.
Sometimes the world is dumb and tiring and you just want a wealthy but socially awkward nobleman whose love for you changes him over time into a gentler, more understanding person who professes his love for you not once, but twice where the second one is a clear reflection of how he's changed as a person after seeing how his coldness and pretentiousness has hurt you. And that's just so valid
