It’s crazy how we all are brought up struggling . From womb to our mothers teat we are just trying to survive and be what we are meant to be . Many of us have yet to cease fighting . Many of us are still fighting , to gain recognition from others . Fighting to be what others may want us to be , fighting and trying so hard to fit these molds of what others perceive us to be. Conforming to stereotypes . We are still wrestling and fighting even ourselves . We all have seen enough to know who we are . Just be that. Nothing less than what you know to be true. Even with all the pain we have endured , all the hits to our self esteem , our egos , our identities , culture, the stripping away and relabeling … All of that be it direct or indirect .When one takes these occurrences and uses them as an opportunity to grow and learn , to reflect…well that is the diamond in the rough. All that buffering , scraping and tumbling has only further aided in refining and revealing our shine! Our character! Our spirit! We are all multi-faceted gems, stars even! So don’t ever feel that who you are isn’t good enough , or that where you are is where you will ways be. When one wishes to gaze upon you , they can only look in one direction.
