Tron translates to 'throne' in several languages, and thrones are apparently a class of angels???

IDK I don't know enough about Christianity to know what to make of this beyond something about fallen angels. Have a screencap of Yugipedia getting so close to this conclusion and then missing.

So something I think is interesting here, thrones are a class of angel, yea, but that's pretty much the specifically Christian term for them--traditionally in Judaism/Hebrew texts, where arguably MOST facets of angelology originate from, they're known as Ophanim/auphanim or galgalim. Another interesting facet is thrones/ophanium are depicted often as something people might picture when you say "Biblically accurate angel" (an incorrect moniker anyway but you know what i mean re: the phrase, this aint about that rn)--big, scary wheels covered in eyes and holy fire. Freaky lookin as all hell!

Zexal loooves playing with explicitly Christian motifs, Book of Revalations ass yugioh that it is, so with those traits in mind, I definitely can see some significance with the series writers naming Tron something so translatable to "throne" in multiple languages. In a way he's kind of got a LOT of angel type motifs, appearing child-like and cherubic but then having this unsettling, borderline hard-to-comprehend "true" form with his fucked up vortex face

Like you said too you could probably make a connection to a fallen angel motif too, I think. This is 100% just me spitballing but Tron could be invoking almost a sorta "inverted" ophanim.....Thrones as angels are said to be characterized by peace, and "uphold and support God’s throne." So what happens when you have a throne fueled by waging a war of vengeance and serving not God and Heaven but Hell and a demon (Vector/BarianWorld)? SOUNDS KIIIIIIINDA LIKE THE ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS BYRON ARCLIGHT JUST A BIT 8)

It always happens when a thing gets big enough. Fans who are clearly only in 911 fandom for the Buddie ship, or who are clearly only in My Hero Academia fandom for Bakudeku, or are clearly only in *insert massive fandom here* for *insert massive yaoi ship here*. These people don't care about the actual characterization, they only care about popping out as much Hot Yaoi Content as possible to get as many Ao3 kudos as they can, often with such bland samey characterization that you can swap the character names for two different names and it would still make just as much sense.

And then, when the next Hot Yaoi Ship comes along, they will just move on to that.

HOW DID I FORGET THAT THIS REALLY IS SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS. and it just really makes my head spin with deltarune especially because it's a game with SO much going on, character and narrative and everything else wise. and you mean to tell me some of yall are just here for one yaoi ship?? you don't want to engage with the themes? and then they dont even characterize the Hot Yaoi Ship properly. ok!

(I personally pegged them onto the Ponyta line, with Michael as a Galarian Ponyta, Thomas as a Kanto Rapidash (with a broken horn) and Chris as a Galarian Rapidash)

I THINK YOU NAILED IT. the way galarian ponyta/rapidash suits III and V so so well (chris arclight might as well already be a galarian rapidash lmao,) the way kanto rapidash!quattro alludes to the fire, the sort of perfect Rich White Family coding carried by these horsies, 'specially the Galar ones. it's just too good, kudos all around. I had to draw them lol

i do also think the logical extension of this is "hey why does shiny galarian ponyta have tron/vetrix's color palette"
