Black comet / nazholkhana
I have no idea how to tumblr so uhh here is post 1 of ???. lets get down to brass tacksâthis is a worldbuilding/story-writing blog revolving around my dark fantasy setting, NAZHOLKHAHA, or as less of a mouthful The Black Comet or the Cometverse or w/e.
Basics:
The universe operates off of something called the Cycle, which an ancient civilization (the âShadowsâ) referred to as Nazholkhana. Its a little confusing but if you understand the Big Crunch theory you pretty much get it. The Cycle exists mostly in the backgroundâon the ground, things are a mixture of early industrial (1600âs-1700âs) and renaissance-late medieval (whenever that was IRL lol). however, the cycle has MASSIVE repercussions for each and every person on Dietia.
Dietia is the planet on which the story takes place, but it is also what people dwelling in the primary region of said planet (which is four massive continents surrounded by ocean) call their known world. In reality this region is something like 10-20% of the worldâs surface area, but I havenât expanded on that massively.
Beings whoâve ascended from being terrestrial creatures (this is a part of the Cycle) become spacedwelling entities known as Outer Beings. These are your capital G Gods, though mortals and lowercase g gods are not really that aware of them. The current lowercase g gods appear to be large humans with weird colored hair, but biologically they are all descendants of the Progenitor, the most powerful Outer Being.
The gods are very humanlike. They all have some degree of ego or empathy problems due to having immortal bodies invulnerable to most basic harm, but at their cores they are just weird pathetic human people. There are 7 currently, as well as many demigods. The big three are Sola (actual name Keira), Nocte (aka Nale), and Mena, whose actual full name is very grandiose.
The titular black comet is a malformed Outer Being turned into a weapon to create weapons for a cosmic battle; it appears to be a comet, but thatâs actually just a big ahh head with limbs trailing behind. Wraiths are those weapons, but how that works is convoluted and esoteric
Thereâs magic, monsters, etc. This project is largely a vehicle for me to have fun writing shit :)
This project is heavily WIP and will remain so for the foreseeable future. Like, years at minimum.
Sex, pain, and violence are facts of life in Dietia and I occasionally bring them up, but so are love and comfort and etc. Despite some appearances this is not a grimdark project ;p
Iâd love to get questions and wtv about stuff. I think Iâm gonna start posting my prose excerpts, for peeps to enjoy
In addition to Black Comet related things I will be posting random bullshit as my heart wishes. maybe i will eventually have separate blogs for things idk probably not. that bullshit will include poetry, idle musings, and so on
