... and I liked Caste Haven so much. Like. A lot. the second couple was so whew. I know good representation for healthy BL is always good but if it drags on I kinda end up pretty bored with it lol. (btw i never read Given and it doesnt interest me enough for it lol)

as for HL. if the ml is mildly annoying or misogynistic I immediately drop the story btw im feminist first before fictional men liker (if its the FL being shitty, I can excuse her until the story becomes boring lol)

same BL moral applies to GL too (I actually prefer if its messier than super fluff ones. I like it too when one of them is shamelessly women liker (Aka Mage and Demon Queen also Show Me Your Bust)

The first thing is I remember the videos of as early as 2016, even though I didn't know KristSingto then, that during stage performances Krist has always been the one with upper hand and this is one of the many things I love about him but! But Singto has always been like "trying to do his best so as to not mess up or make a mistake" kinda among the two. I remember the only argument KristSingto talked about that they had about a performance and Singto being more worried about the lyrics and such. This time I saw the performance and Singto made quite a few mistakes here and there, but what I felt so good about was that he just simply went on performing and enjoying the performance.

The maturity to handle the mistakes on a big stage with such ease is another development I loved in the two, in this case Singto. I love it that they feel they too can make mistakes and that it's OK. This is the kind of environment I want them to be in when they are among their fans atleast cause Thai BL fandom is changing for worse each day or so I feel.

Another thing, that is not a change but has constantly been there between the two and still is, is Krist backing Singto up, be it in interviews, stage performances, or weird situations fans put them in. They have always been each other's support and shoulder to lean on since they went through the hell-hole period when Thai BLs reached international fame for the first time together. But even in this video you can see what has not changed after all these years of good and bad - Krist backing up his P'Sing and trying to cheer up his sulky P'.

I agree with you. Consent and mutual attraction are a great thing. I don't need to have sex in a show, especially when the actors might not be comfortable with such explicit scenes or when it doesn't add anything to the story and you can tell the whole thing was just played out to satisfy, I dunno, peoples' wet dreams.

One of the most defining scenes for me comes from TharnType (and that's certainly not the only problem I have with the show). I can't get it verbatim anymore and I don't like looking through it all again to find the passage 😅 but Type says to Tharn something like, then do what you have to do, like you always do. The display of absolute lack of desire for this sexual act at that moment I found very questionable, but after reading up a bit it was again very fitting for the BL world. I can't watch scenes like that in which the partner, who is usually physically more dominant, gets down on the weaker partner and takes advantage of him (I'm looking at you, uwma). Kisses on the other hand, no matter what I consume, if there is a love story, are very important to me. And oh god are there horrible things we've had to witness. There's nothing worse than either those awful dead fish kisses or when, in an existing relationship, one of the partners is coy about it, even if it's just a little sniff-kiss. Oh, in general, I hate it when one of the partners is acting shy but the story and/or the character doesn't give any reason for being coy and that just makes me cringe. Just let them have fun kissing each other!
