Sometimes I buy tiny accessories for dolls I don’t even own yet, because in my head they already exist and I want them to have nice things when they get here.

I love seeing the diversity in this hobby, how the same sculpt can look so different from the way people paint and dress them. It’s truly amazing   

In honesty, I have difficulty appreciating my friend's bjd aesthetic. I'm supportive and find nice things to say about her dolls, of course. And this isn't a complaint, by the way - it's not like it's sooo strenuous to be nice. But as this is a confession blog, that's my confession: secretly I'm pretty basic & only really like the "conventionally pretty" "popular" dolls. I appreciate that others appreciate more unusual dolls, but I don't think I will ever like them myself.

I fucking love BJD dress up videos. No cuts, nothing fancy, just a video of someone dressing up their adorable doll. Bonus if they try different things on before committing to the final fit. I love seeing what other tiny clothes someone has.

I love dolls with a sickly aesthetic

If you wanna give unsolicited advice when your dolls look horrible,

I'm trying to finish customizing my dolls before a trip in a couple weeks and on the one hand I'm happy I'll have them done finally, but on the other, I'm afraid I'm going to hate them because working on them has been stressful and what if they don't turn out good? They're really special to me and I don't want that to happen!

To the person who asked if the painted on facial hair confessions were by the same person: They were not, I made one of them, and I am so grateful someone else hates it too. The threshhold is all facial hair. Every single painted on facial hair for a doll looks atrocious. Every doll.
