WiP - BJD Head Vox - Pt 2
Here we go again, right now I was able to work on Vox a bit each day, as curing times are long it always take another day till I am able to continue but it's kind of my current comfort project.
I started to redo the lid of the headback and drilling the tracks for the faces to hold better. In the end I decided to do a double frame hoping it will secure everything even better.
I'm glad I remembered I have this small drilling tool as well as my rotary tool is too big for the corners.
After I made a pattern sheet for faces I started to do a second border for the screen for the red parts later on. I know there is a lot of refinement to come and that you won't see the progress as much then but so far I am quite proud how much I got done in only one week.
Most fun part was starting to prepare some faces! So here are 6 face options and I have more foils to prepare even more. I really want to do the "Muted" one and maybe some more silly options.
While I painted the faces the new border was cured and I was able to remove the cling film. Next I will add the last border to the headback.
Once that is cured I have to see if I need to add magnets or not. If not I will move forward to evening out and sanding the head.
I added a bit to the headback and tested with the testscreen to see if the foils still work.
More sanding and more sanding... did I mention more sanding?
Also test with one of the faces. And a body which is not his body, I noticed I need to enlarge the neckhole as no hook fits through it.
You guessed it... MORE SANDING.
Sanding always takes forever. I guess next is adding a few bits here and there and then continue sanding.
