The Bizzarrini Kjara was a one-off hybrid-diesel concept car developed by automotive engineer Giotto Bizzarrini in collaboration with Leone Martellucci of the Technical University of Rome. Presented at the 2000 Turin Motor Show, the Kjara combined an aerodynamic wedge-style barchetta body with a 2.4-litre five-cylinder Lancia JTD turbodiesel engine in combination with four electric motors, one at each wheel. It was constructed purely as an experimental technical and design showcase and was never intended for production.
