After getting my COVID booster shot, I decided to take a jaunt over to downtown Bethlehem, PA to grab a coffee to help cure my ouchie 🩹❤️‍🩹 Back in November when my family was visiting Bethlehem for the day there was quite a bit of hype revolving around the grand opening of a new coffee shop, @bittyandbeauscoffee ☕️ At the time there was a line wrapping around the block and we decided to try visiting another day. Well...the day finally came and I can see why people were excited to check it out. The original Bitty & Beau's was founded in January 2016 in Wilmington, NC by Amy & Ben Wright in honor of their two children, Bitty & Beau, who have Down syndrome. With over 80% of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities unemployed nationwide, the Wrights believe that Bitty & Beau’s Coffee creates a path for people with disabilities to become more valued, accepted and included in every community. Today, Bitty & Beau’s Coffee has grown to over 23 shops across 12 states with over 200 employees. The workers, ambiance, and coffee at this location were delightful! From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and made me want to stick around for a while. I even pinned my location on the interactive map in the store. I will definitely be making another visit there and I encourage you to drop by, as well, if you are in the Lehigh Valley! . . .
