Staff and volunteers from one of the mass vaccination centers in Salt Lake City. I started this personal project to document the people behind the shots (yes, pun intended!). The people that asked to be reassigned from libraries and other government positions to the vaccination centers. The ones with event planning experience, to try to set up an efficient and safe way to get their fellow citizens vaccinated. The volunteers that signed up when the call went out. Over the last few months I was fortunate to be able to photograph staff and volunteers at a couple of the vaccination centers in Salt Lake City. The wedding hut in San Diego was in the vicinity of our location today. It was wonderful watching people get married in these crazy times. The people working the hut were probably the happiest State of California employees I’ve ever come across. When I asked about how many weddings they performed on a day, they told me they do 2 weddings every half hour, and they are open for 8 hours. They are also booked solid for a month and a half.
