Some of the newer store brushes look really nice so I thought they deserved something posted about them too. These are by artist Hanabukiiro.
Where to find Firealpaca brush store: look at the bottom of your brush window for a "storefront" icon" where the other new brush buttons are (brush previews are on their main site in all their available languages as well)

Been doing quick brush tests with some of the newer brushes from Firealpaca - you can preview them on their website at "Materials" and you can download them fro free from the program directly from the Brush window - click "New Brush" button > Show Brush Store.
Some of these FX and traditional tool brushes are really surprising! I find it kind of fun to just loose myself in trying these out while my brains on rest from having ideas. Just trying out different colors and layer modes is somehow relaxing.
Below the cut is a huge list of all the bitmap brushes I prefer to use in firealpaca, with their settings and original png’s. Hopefully you will find them quite useful. There are a total of 12 brushes to look through!
2H Pencil
6B Pencil
Stipple Brush (a personal favorite for subtle shading)
Half-Tone Lines
*Cherry Pattern
*(for those who are new to fire alpaca and do not know what the hue jitter or color jitter setting do, for now just set them to zero for this brush and all following brushes)
The following are brushes I have not made myself. I will include links to the original creators where you can find and download the .png’s needed
Block Charcoal
can be found here: https://nerdgasrnz.tumblr.com/post/80357426317/hey-firealpaca-users-i-got-presents-for-u-so-if

can be found here: https://everythingfirealpaca.tumblr.com/post/75177262993/an-apology-and-brushes
Splot Brush
can be found here: https://twitter.com/tk_subboi/status/1017205902053658625?lang=en
Static Brush (great for textures, I like to use it as a shading brush, personally speaking)
can be found here: https://gronhund.tumblr.com/post/156512048516/static-brush-i-created-for-firealpaca
Cloud Brush
can be found here: https://leslielumarie.tumblr.com/post/146668929401/would-you-ever-consider-putting-your-brushes-from
Scatter Brush (unable to find the original link, so I will provide the png for now - if anyone has a link to the original creator, please send it to me)
Polygon Brush (also unable to find original creator)
some fire alpaca watercolour brushes! id recommend setting this all to watercolour with around half - 70% opacity, and for the triangle brush put it on a slight rotate random!
Okay so I've had fire alpaca for a while and as long as I can remember when you went to edit the brush there was an option for "watercolor". I had to completely restart my computer yesterday, meaning all my brushes were gone. I went to go edit one of the brushes to make it watercolor and it wasn't there? Any help?
There are 3 different brush categories in FireAlpaca:
1. The standard (built in) brushes. Add Brush button. These have the types for:
Pen
Eraser
Airbrush
Watercolor
Blur
Smudge
Edge Pen
2. Image-based (PNG) brushes. Add Brush (Bitmap) button. These have brush types for:
Bitmap
Bitmap Watercolor
Scatter
Scatter Watercolor
Pattern
3. Script-based brushes. Add Brush (Script) button. Only one type:
Brush Script
The three brush categories are not interchangeable, you cannot change a brush from one category into another category.

The Firealpaca brush store has new brushes up again and some of them are pretty neat! A lot of these newer ones are made by the artist Diceproj, and they seem to have extra care put into them to be funcitonal.
If you’ve been looking for new brushes to use, please check them out!
This is probably a dumb question, but is there any way to make a brush "angled" on firealpaca?
for bitmap brushes, yes, you can make a slanted brush (lets say you make a round black circle (e.g. pen brush at 200px size) and then transform it to make the shape flattened. Then when you use that as a bitmap brush, there is an option to "rotate along" the brush (it will turn along with your strokes, not stay in place), as well as change the angle via "rotate angle". This way you can make marker and calligraphy brushes for yourself, for example.
Here's an example from my own brush list. The options will change depending on brush type, but for regular and other types of "bitmap type" brushes, it should be fine to use those two parameters.
hey, im trying to make a marker brush (not like the default one, like, a marker brush with a rectangular tip and semi opaque), but no matter how big I make the brush, whenever i try to draw with it i get these weird... corners? basically the borders are supper jagged and weird, i will submit a picture to show you, thanks in advance.
here’s the picture of the marker brush with the ugly jagged borders, one of those i downloaded from the internet too btw
antialiasing is in fact turned on
It looks like you are trying to use a simple clean rectangle as your brush, and those jagged borders are the corners of the multiple rectangles being placed near each other.
The Antialiasing setting does not work on bitmap brushes, only on built-in brushes.
What you need to do is blur the rectangle, which will act as antialiasing when it is used as a brush (antialiasing is basically a little blur on edges).
